The badminton team of Incheon National University (President: In-jae Lee) won the women’s university team championship at the 2026 National Federation Badminton Championships, held on the 14th at the Jeongeup National Sports Center.

In individual events, sophomore Da-hyeon Lee and junior Seo-yeon Bu won a gold medal and a bronze medal, respectively, in women’s singles. Additionally, freshman So-hyeon Nam teamed up with Ji-hoon Choi of Baekseok University to secure a runner-up finish in mixed doubles, demonstrating strong overall performance throughout the competition.

Head coach Su-jin Kim received the Best Coach Award in recognition of the team’s victory. She stated, “This achievement was made possible thanks to the athletes who trained tirelessly through the harsh winter and the unwavering support provided by the university,” adding, “We will continue to grow and become an even stronger team throughout this year.”
